1917 Mack AB "C" Cab Stake Bed – Chassis No. 579334 Offered here is a well-preserved example of the 1917 Mack AB "C" Cab Stake Bed, chassis number 579334. This vehicle represents Mack's first standardized, high-volume production model, introduced in 1914 and produced through 1937, with over 55,000 units built .​ Powered by a 30-horsepower inline four-cylinder engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, this truck features mechanical rear drum brakes and a durable steel chassis. The stake bed is equipped with three rollers integrated into the floor, facilitating the handling of board lumber .​ The "C" Cab design includes a wood-framed windshield and period-correct lighting, such as acetylene headlights and kerosene sidelights.
